I missed writing… I really have.

I started blogs a few times before—back in 2012 when I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse, and then again in 2020 after the aggressive non-Hodgkin diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) cancer diagnosis. But as life got busier, my blogging tapered off. Still, I always knew my voice made an impact.

In between, I journaled—especially when I began my Reiki Masters journey in March 2024. But nothing prepared me for the crazy inner healing experience I had in May 2024 when I finally opened my diaries from 1997-2006. For 19 years, I carried those diaries with me through every move, knowing deep down that one day, I’d have to go back to my roots to unravel childhood trauma and heal. That day finally came.

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

People tell me my life could be a Netflix script—highly entertaining, lol. But I share my story not for entertainment, but because I want others to know they are not alone. I want someone out there to find the courage to step out of silence and start their healing journey. Writing has always been therapeutic for me. There is power in vulnerability—it creates a sacred space for self-discovery, growth, and transformation. ❤️‍🩹

The Power of Journaling 🏻

Journaling has been my anchor through every season of my life. It is a mindfulness practice that allows you to release emotions, track personal growth, and make sense of emotional healing. If you haven’t tried it yet, here are some journaling techniques to start:

^

Stream-of-consciousness writing

Set a timer for 10 minutes and write whatever comes to mind.

^

Gratitude journaling

List 3 things you’re grateful for daily to shift your mindset.

^

Letter to your future self

Manifest your dreams and track your self-improvement journey.

^

Shadow work prompts

Explore inner child healing, fears, and limiting beliefs.

I’ve decided to commit to releasing a new blog post (and Spotify podcast) every Friday. I’ll start by revamping old blog posts, then flesh things out from there.

That last blog post in May 2021—when I thought I would stop blogging and start vlogging—was actually DAY 1 of a brand-new book in my life. That was the day God spoke His purpose into my life. The cancer wasn’t just a diagnosis; it was the catalyst that propelled me into the space I needed to be in to reach others and share my testimony. That was the day the seed for Fenix Vida was planted in my heart, a seed that would later birth Kreative Kim’s Cancer Support Initiative. (Things didn’t go the way I planned it, but I trusted God’s guidance and surrendered into going with the flow and just following the universal signs that popped up everywhere.)

After that, I began my transition into a new life after cancer. It was a one-step-forward, three-steps-back, then four-steps-forward, two-steps-back kind of journey. Never stagnant—always moving, always evolving, always focused on finding that sweet spot where my soul could finally be at peace.

He splashed me with water. Such innocence. Cuteness overload… #firstcrush

🌿Learning to Receive & Self-Worth Healing  🌿

In my last blog post in 2021, I recognized one of my coping mechanisms, which stemmed from one of my deepest wounds—the need to keep busy to prove my worth. Overcompensating. Doing more than was ever necessary. I started unraveling that pattern last year. I made peace with something so simple, yet so profound: I am enough.

For the first time, I understood that people will come into my life to support me. To lighten the load. To bring balance into my relationships. Give and Take. I no longer have to carry everything alone. I started to learn how to receive.

In June last year, I hit a low point and finally reached out for real help. That was the first time I received without guilt. Without the need to give back immediately. I simply received—because I deserve it. Because I am worthy of good things, too. 🥹🙏🏻❤️‍🔥

💫 Closing Thoughts… 💫

This journey has been a wild ride, full of unexpected twists, deep healing, and undeniable spiritual growth. But the biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: healing is not about reaching a destination—it’s about learning to love the journey itself. 🌿✨

A kindred spirit shared this in our Reiki Masters group yesterday, and it really spoke to me. It aligns so well with today’s post:

“You can’t skip chapters. That’s how life works.

You have to live every experience, meet every character, read every line of that page.

You won’t enjoy all of it and that’s okay. But every chapter matters.

The messy ones. The painful ones. Even the ones you’d rather forget.

If you avoid the pain, you’ll never know the strength that comes from enduring it.

So read every line. Live every moment.

Because you don’t stop when you’re tired.

You stop when you’re done.”

If you are in a season of emotional healing and self-discovery, know this: you are not alone. Keep going. Keep unraveling. Keep trusting. And when the time comes, you will step into your purpose with a heart that is lighter, stronger, and full of love. 💕

Stay tuned for my next post, and thank you for walking this path with me. See you next Friday for new insights on my healing, personal transformation, and conscious living journey! 🎙️📝
